Hotel Accommodations
The conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency Dulles in Herndon, Virginia, about thirty minutes outside of Washington, D.C. The hotel is fully air-conditioned and has an indoor pool and hot tub, 24-hour fitness center, business center and Flights Bistro & Bar restaurant on site. The hotel and rooms are wheelchair accessible and wheelchair accessible rooms are available upon request. All rooms have complimentary wireless internet access. The hotel provides complimentary shuttle service to and from Dulles Airport. For guests driving to the conference, complimentary self-parking is available.
A block of discounted hotel rooms is being held for conference participants at a preferred rate until June 27, 2023. Once the room block is full, rooms are subject to availability at the current market rate.
Block rates (not including applicable taxes) are:
$109 per night, single occupancy;
$109 per night, double occupancy;
$119 per night, triple occupancy; and
$129 per night, quadruple occupancy.
Rooms on a higher floor are available for an additional $10/night.
Please wait to receive your conference registration confirmation email before booking a hotel room. Your confirmation email will include a link to book your hotel room at the discounted block rate and a discount code if you prefer to book by phone.
Guests will be required to show conference credentials for admission to the conference area of the hotel throughout the weekend. Unapproved meetings, marketing, soliciting or promotions are not permitted.
Service animals are welcome but pets and emotional support animals are not permitted to attend the conference.
Travel Arrangements
Guests are responsible for their own travel arrangements to and from the conference.
By Air: The hotel is located two miles from Dulles International Airport. The hotel provides a complimentary airport shuttle to and from the airport on a 24-hour basis. Upon arrival go to ground transportation where the hotel shuttle picks up guests each at 15 and 45 minutes after the hour. Departing from the hotel, the shuttle leaves on the half hour and hour.
By Train: The Silver Line metro rail is now open from Dulles International Airport to Herndon where the Hyatt is located. It runs every 15 minutes on Friday from 5AM - 1AM, Saturday from 7AM - 1AM and Sunday from 7AM - Midnight. For more information on the metro visit Schedules and Maps | WMATA. By Car: The hotel is conveniently located at 2300 Dulles Corner Blvd., Herndon, Virginia. Complimentary parking is available for conference guests.
Meals
In-Person Conference Registration includes light refreshments and snacks at the Welcome Reception on Friday evening, lunch on Saturday and Sunday, and an Awards Dinner on Saturday night. Ingredient lists will be available for all food items served during the conference. Guests may purchase additional food through room service, the hotel restaurant, or other local eateries.
What to Wear
Dress comfortably for the educational programming on Saturday and Sunday. We suggest bringing a light sweater or jacket in the event the meeting room temperature fluctuates. For the Saturday night Awards Dinner, fun business casual/cocktail party attire is suggested. Don't forget a bathing suit if you'd like to make use of the hotel pool or spa! If you are joining us for Dysautonomia Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill, professional business attire is required to meet with House and Senate officials.
Local Attractions
We're planning a busy weekend, but if you'd like to explore the area, there are many interesting attractions to visit. Downtown Washington, D.C. is a 30–40-minute drive, where you can visit historic landmarks including The White House, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, The National Gallery of Art and numerous Smithsonian Museums. In the local area, the Smithsonian's Steven F. Udvar Hazy Air and Space Center is just minutes from the hotel, as well as golf courses, upscale shopping malls, and Frying Pan Farm Park hiking/biking trails.
