What to Wear
Dress comfortably for the educational programming on Saturday and Sunday. We suggest bringing a light sweater or jacket in the event the meeting room temperature fluctuates. For the Saturday night Awards Dinner, fun business casual/cocktail party attire is suggested. Don't forget a bathing suit if you'd like to make use of the hotel pool or spa! If you are joining us for Dysautonomia Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill, professional business attire is required to meet with House and Senate officials.
We're planning a busy weekend, but if you'd like to explore the area, there are many interesting attractions to visit. Downtown Washington, D.C. is a 30–40-minute drive, where you can visit historic landmarks including The White House, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, The National Gallery of Art and numerous Smithsonian Museums. In the local area, the Smithsonian's Steven F. Udvar Hazy Air and Space Center is just minutes from the hotel, as well as golf courses, upscale shopping malls, and Frying Pan Farm Park hiking/biking trails.
